Waiting periods
6 months for death from natural causes. Accidental death is covered from the first premium received. The waiting period restarts if the policy lapses for more than 60 days.
Qualifying rules
One Inxaso Meat Cover Plan policy per insured life, available from age 18 to 75. It may be held on its own, or added to any Tombstone Insurance plan at a discounted premium.

Inxaso Meat Cover Plan policy wording summary- What is covered
- On the death of the insured life, the selected meat benefit is provided to the family for use at the funeral or at the tombstone unveiling ceremony. The benefit may be taken as prepared meat delivered to a chosen address, or as an equivalent value voucher.
- Waiting periods
- A 6 month waiting period applies to death from natural causes. Death by accident is covered from the first premium received. The waiting period restarts if the policy lapses for more than 60 days.
- Claim window
- Claims must be submitted within 6 months of the date of death. The benefit may be redeemed at the funeral or at an unveiling ceremony held within 24 months of the date of death.
- Main exclusions
- Suicide within the first 12 months, death arising from a criminal act by the claimant, and claims where premiums are in arrears at the date of death.
- Product rules
- One Inxaso Meat Cover Plan policy per insured life. Cover may be purchased on its own or alongside Tombstone Insurance, in which case a 15% bundled premium discount applies. The benefit is provided in kind or as an equivalent value voucher, at Inxaso's election.

Can I buy Inxaso Meat Cover Plan without Tombstone Insurance?
Yes. It is a fully standalone insurance product with its own premium, policy schedule and claims process.
Can it be used for an unveiling and not a funeral?
Yes. The benefit may be redeemed at the funeral or at a tombstone unveiling ceremony held within 24 months of the date of death.
What if the family prefers a value instead of meat?
An equivalent value voucher can be issued instead of a physical delivery, at the family's request.
How does this differ from the meat benefit in my plan?
Legacy and Prestige plans include a meat benefit as part of tombstone cover. Inxaso Meat Cover Plan is a separate product you can hold on its own, or add on top of an existing benefit.

Tombstone Protection Cover
Protects an installed tombstone against covered damage and pays for approved repairs.
Once a tombstone is standing, it faces weather, ground movement and people. This cover repairs it, so the grave keeps looking the way the family wants it to.

- Fire and storm damage
- Cleaning, polishing and resealing
